How spearfishing is treated at Reserva marina de Masía Blanca.

Small state marine reserve (457 ha) on the Mediterranean coast off El Vendrell / Coma-ruga (Tarragona), established by Orden of 21 December 1999. Recreational spearfishing is not a permitted use; an integral reserve circle (0.2 NM radius) is centred at 41°10'27"N, 1°30'40.2"E with a 0.6 NM concentric buffer where only authorised professional fishing/diving is allowed.

License requiredvia Competent fisheries authority of the coastal Autonomous Community (órgano competente de la comunidad autónoma del litoral)

Apply through the fisheries authority of the relevant coastal Autonomous Community (online or in person). A medical certificate of fitness for underwater/free-diving (issued by a doctor qualified in hyperbaric/underwater medicine), or a valid federation licence covering the medical, plus suitable accident insurance, is generally required. ID (DNI for citizens; NIE/passport for foreigners) and payment of the regional fee are needed.
