How spearfishing is treated at Cœur marin de Porquerolles (Parc national de Port-Cros).
The 600 m marine core around Porquerolles island (added to the Port-Cros National Park in 2012) has a graduated recreational-fishing regime under arrêtés préfectoraux n° R93-2022-03-22-00001 and -00002 (22 March 2022): spearfishing and amateur fishing are prohibited every year from 1 July to 31 August and require park authorization from 1 September to 30 June; in several sectors — including the 135 ha 'zone ressource' on the southeast coast (between longitudes 006°13.6335'E and 006°14.9871'E) and zones F/H — all recreational fishing is prohibited and spearfishing is banned year-round.
