How spearfishing is treated at Cantonnement de pêche du Roc de Brescou (Cap d'Agde).
~300 ha no-take fishing cantonment ~1.5 km off Fort Brescou, facing Cap d'Agde (Hérault), inside the Natura 2000 site 'Posidonies du cap d'Agde'. All forms of maritime fishing — including spearfishing — are prohibited; the companion arrêté préfectoral maritime n°007/2020 also bans anchoring, dredging and diving (scuba or apnea) in the zone. Created by the Arrêté du 27 décembre 2019 and made PERMANENT (duration 'illimitée') by the Arrêté du 31 décembre 2025 (JORF 1 Jan 2026).
