Overview

How spearfishing is treated at Konkouré (Ramsar site / Konkouré River Delta).

Ramsar Wetland of International Importance (designated 18 Nov 1992, ~90,000 ha) covering the Konkouré River Delta estuarine complex — intertidal mud/sand flats, mangrove forests and marsh; ~one third of Guinea's coastal mangroves; West African manatee (Trichechus senegalensis) and dolphin recorded. Protected marine species may not be taken (Art. 49). Previously bundled under 'Rio Pongo, delta du Konkouré and delta du Kapatchez'.
