Overview
How spearfishing is treated at Rio Kapatchez (Ramsar site / coastal mangrove protected area).
Ramsar Wetland of International Importance (designated 18 Nov 1992) of marshy coastal plain bordered by a stabilised dune cordon, with mangrove forests, intertidal mud/sand flats and freshwater marshes in northern Guinea (Kapatchez delta), adjoining the Iles Tristao reserve. Extraction of protected marine fauna is prohibited (Art. 49). Previously bundled under 'Rio Pongo, delta du Konkouré and delta du Kapatchez'.

Apply to the Ministère de la Pêche et de l'Économie Maritime for an Article 44 sport-fishing authorisation under terms set by implementing regulation. Recreational/subsistence fishing requires no authorisation (Art. 45).
