How spearfishing is treated at Rio Pongo (Ramsar site / coastal mangrove protected area).
Ramsar Wetland of International Importance (RIS 574, designated 18 Nov 1992) on the Rio Pongo estuary near Boffa, Guinea — mangrove forest and intertidal mudflats. Extraction of protected marine fauna is prohibited under Art. 49 of the Maritime Fishing Code. Previously bundled under 'Rio Pongo, delta du Konkouré and delta du Kapatchez'.
