How spearfishing is treated at Kara Tepe underwater archaeological site (Mytilene, Lesvos).
The Kara Tepe marine area immediately north of Mytilene town is a declared underwater archaeological site (site 4 on the Mytilene Port Authority's list). Year-round ban on spearfishing, towed gear, mechanical shellfish harvesting and sponge fishing under KYA ΦΕΚ 336 Β΄/2004 art. Α§2(δ).
