Overview
How spearfishing is treated at Kenchreai bay underwater archaeological site (Corinthia).
Kenchreai, the submerged eastern harbour of ancient Corinth on the Saronic Gulf, is a declared underwater archaeological site. Spearfishing, towed-gear fishing, mechanical shellfish harvesting and sponge fishing are prohibited in the bay under KYA ΥΠΠΟ/ΓΔΑΠΚ/ΑΡΧ/Α1/Φ41/11228/1865 (ΦΕΚ 336 Β΄/11-2-2004) art. Α§2(δ), as listed by the Corinth Port Authority.
