The sea in Kypsa bay at Sani, Kassandra, was declared an underwater archaeological site by ministerial decision ΥΠΠΟ/ΓΔΑΠΚ/ΑΡΧ/Α1/Φ43/63059/4320 (ΦΕΚ 1710 Β΄/2003), which prints the four corner coordinates of the protected rectangle. Spearfishing, towed-gear fishing, mechanical shellfish harvesting and sponge fishing are prohibited there under KYA ΦΕΚ 336 Β΄/2004 art. Α§2(δ).
