How spearfishing is treated at Ormos Agiou Nikolaou (Kea) — all-method fishing ban.
All fishing by any means is prohibited throughout Ormos Agiou Nikolaou, the large north-west bay of Kea that contains the ports of Korissia (Livadi) and Vourkari, under ministerial decision ΥΠΓ10/ΑΡΧ/Α1/Φ43/12906/709 as listed on the Lavrio Port Authority's prohibition register. Because the ban covers every method it includes spearfishing. This is a separate and much wider closure than the 300 m protection zone around the Agia Irini prehistoric settlement, which lies inside the same bay.
