How spearfishing is treated at Skopelos underwater archaeological bays (Stafylos, Agnontas, Panormos).
Underwater fishing (spearfishing), towed-gear fishing, sponge fishing and mechanical shellfish harvesting are prohibited in the bays of Stafylos, Agnontas and Panormos on the south coast of Skopelos, declared underwater archaeological sites since 1969 (YA 23181/12-09-1969, FEK 653B & 563B/06-10-1969). Pin marks Agnontas, the central of the three bays; Stafylos lies ~3 km east and Panormos ~5 km west.
