The marine area of Sykaminia on the north coast of Lesvos is a declared underwater archaeological site (site 9 on the Mytilene Port Authority's list), with a year-round spearfishing prohibition under KYA ΦΕΚ 336 Β΄/2004 art. Α§2(δ).
