Overview
How spearfishing is treated at Brijuni National Park.
Fishing is prohibited throughout Brijuni National Park (Pravilnik o unutarnjem redu, NN 75/2000, Article 22). The sole exception is licensed recreational angling, which Article 24 limits to three hand lines with a maximum of three hooks; Article 28 prohibits any gear not listed there, so the speargun is excluded and spearfishing is prohibited park-wide. Article 29 additionally bans the taking, collecting and extraction of shellfish, sea cucumbers, urchins and other marine organisms in the park.
