How spearfishing is treated at Ušće rijeke Dragonje (Dragonja estuary) — posebno stanište.
The aquatorium of the Dragonja river mouth on the Croatian–Slovenian border in northern Istria, south-east of the line running from Rt Sv. Petra on a bearing of 26°, is posebno stanište no. 1 under Pravilnik NN 125/2020 čl. 14(2). The permitted-gear list is exhaustive and the speargun (podvodna puška) is not on it, so spearfishing is prohibited; čl. 14(6) expressly extends the restriction to sport and recreational fishing. Gigs/spears (osti) ARE permitted here — do not confuse them with the speargun, which Croatian law treats as a separate gear usable only in sport fishing (Zakon o morskom ribarstvu čl. 31(1)).
