How spearfishing is treated at Ušće rijeke Mirne / Tarska uvala (Mirna estuary) — posebno stanište.
The aquatorium of the Mirna river mouth in Tarska uvala (Tar bay), west-coast Istria, bounded by the line Rt Poduliki – Rt Kras, is posebno stanište no. 2 under Pravilnik NN 125/2020 čl. 14(2). The permitted-gear list is exhaustive and the speargun (podvodna puška) is not on it, so spearfishing is prohibited; čl. 14(6) expressly extends the restriction to sport and recreational fishing. Gigs/spears (osti) ARE permitted here — do not confuse them with the speargun, which Croatian law treats as a separate gear usable only in sport fishing (Zakon o morskom ribarstvu čl. 31(1)).
