How spearfishing is treated at Habitat/Species Management Area of Cahouane (Aire de Gestion d'Habitats/Especes de la Cahouane).

Coastal mangrove habitat/species management area in south-west Haiti near the village of Cahouane, between Les Anglais and Tiburon (Sud department). Established 2013; area ~59.4 km2 (WDPA 555643719). As a declared protected area it is subject to the 1978 Fisheries Decree's prohibition on fishing within 50 m of a protected-area boundary (Art. 38 / Art. 101), and spearfishing is in any case banned nationwide; the mangrove lagoon was reforested/restored by 2020.
