Two no-take zones (NTZs) within the gazetted Misool Islands MPA (Kawasan Konservasi Perairan, ~348,519 ha, formalized 2021) in southeast Misool - the Batbitim and Daram NTZs of the Misool Marine Reserve, established with the local community in 2005 and among the highest reef-fish-biomass sites in Raja Ampat. Point marks the Batbitim NTZ. All extractive use, including fishing, is banned; spearfishing by tourists/visitors is prohibited throughout the Raja Ampat MPA network.
