Overview
How spearfishing is treated at Little Ness Marine Nature Reserve.
10 km2 MNR on the east coast extending south from Douglas Bay along Marine Drive to the Little Ness headland. Taking scallops/queen scallops by diving is prohibited under byelaw 10 (not one of the two permitted reserves), and byelaw 8 protected species/habitats apply. Spearfishing subject to MNR byelaws plus island-wide sea-fisheries rules.
