Overview

How spearfishing is treated at Ramsey Bay Marine Nature Reserve - Eelgrass Conservation Zone (Zone 3).

Most highly protected, no-take zone. No fishing or other removal of marine life is permitted, except collection of lugworm and razor clams from 1 October to 31 March. Recreational rod and line angling is also prohibited here; collecting any living animal or plant from the shore or sea by any means (including hand gathering) is prohibited. Spearfishing would be prohibited.
