How spearfishing is treated at AMP Isole Tremiti — Zona A di riserva integrale (Isola di Pianosa).
The whole belt of sea around the outlying islet of Pianosa is the zona A (riserva integrale) of the Isole Tremiti marine protected area, created by the interministerial decree of 14 July 1989. Inside it all fishing, professional and sport, by any means whatsoever is forbidden, as is any diving with or without breathing apparatus except when authorised by the managing body — so spearfishing is completely prohibited, and even entering the water is not allowed.
