A 500 m-wide strip of sea running along the coast from Torre S. Isidoro to the point at località Casa Giorgella is one of the two zone A (riserva integrale) of the Porto Cesareo marine protected area, established by the decree of 12 December 1997. All professional and sport fishing by any means is forbidden there, as is navigation, access and stopping.
