How spearfishing is treated at AMP Portofino — Zona A di riserva integrale (Cala dell'Oro).
Zona A (integral reserve) of the Portofino Marine Protected Area, the stretch of sea from Punta Torretta to Punta del Buco in front of Cala dell'Oro. The institutive decree bans all fishing 'both professional and sport, by whatever means', plus navigation, access, mooring and even swimming; the 2008 execution regulation adds that breath-hold spearfishing is banned throughout the whole MPA and that no sport-fishing activity whatsoever is allowed in zone A. Absolutely no spearfishing, and no diving at all.
