The northern of the two zone A (riserva integrale) of the Torre Guaceto marine protected area, the stretch of sea directly off the Aragonese tower, established by the interministerial decree of 4 December 1991. Inside it all professional and sport fishing by any means is banned, as is access and navigation; spearfishing is in any case forbidden throughout the whole reserve by art. 4, letter c) of the same decree.
