How spearfishing is treated at Parco Nazionale dell'Arcipelago di La Maddalena — Area di tutela integrale (Porto Madonna, tra Budelli, Razzoli e Santa Maria).
The lagoon known as Porto Madonna, enclosed between the islands of Budelli, Razzoli and Santa Maria in the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park. The park regulation forbids inside the marked polygon 'la navigazione, sosta e ancoraggio di qualsiasi tipo di unità navale, ivi compresi windsurf, nonché la pesca professionale e sportiva'; only oar- or paddle-powered craft may cross, and swimming is allowed. Spearfishing, being pesca sportiva, is prohibited.

Register as a recreational/sport sea fisher (age 16+) via the national MASAF system; from January 2026 register and declare catches of listed species through the EU RecFishing app under Reg. (UE) 2023/2842. No exam required for spearfishing itself.
