How spearfishing is treated at Parco Nazionale dell'Arcipelago Toscano — Zona 1 di riserva integrale (mare dell'Isola di Montecristo).
The marine 'zona 1' around the island of Montecristo, defined by a vertex polygon in Allegato A of the park's founding decree (D.P.R. 22 luglio 1996). Inside zona 1 all fishing, professional or sport, with any means whatsoever is prohibited, together with visitor access, scuba diving, navigation, mooring and anchoring; bathing is expressly banned at Montecristo. Spearfishing is in any case prohibited throughout the whole national park.
