How spearfishing is treated at Diani-Chale Marine National Reserve.
Marine national reserve on Kenya's south coast in Kwale County, gazetted in the mid-1990s, running roughly 30 km along the Diani coast from the Tiwi Estuary in the north to Chale Island in the south, about 35 km south of Mombasa. As a Kenya Wildlife Service marine national reserve, spear guns are not a permitted fishing method (only regulated hook-and-line fishing is allowed in reserve areas), and the national speargun prohibition applies. Center point taken near Diani Beach.
