License for South Korea

Whether you need a license to spearfish here, and how to get one.

License: unknown — verify locallyvia Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (해양수산부) / local government (Si/Gun/Gu)

There is no recreational spearfishing licence in South Korea. Catching aquatic resources commercially requires a fishery licence/registration from the head of the Si/Gun/Gu under the Fisheries Act; recreational sea fishing (rod) is regulated under the Fishing Management and Promotion Act but does not authorise spears or scuba-assisted harvesting.
