Overview
How spearfishing is treated at Moroccan maritime waters (general coastline).
Spearfishing is permitted along the Moroccan Atlantic and Mediterranean coast subject to the authorization and to the proximity prohibitions: not within 100 m of fixed gear, nets or active fishing boats, and not within 50 m of beaches and bathing areas.

Apply to the délégation des pêches maritimes of your region (issued by the chef de la direction de la marine marchande et des pêches maritimes or a delegated chef de quartier maritime). Requirements: be at least 18 (16+ with written parental consent), meet physical-aptitude conditions set by joint ministerial order (medical certificate), and hold third-party (liability) insurance.
