Overview
How spearfishing is treated at Souss-Massa National Park (coastal/marine zone).
National park on the Moroccan Atlantic coast between Agadir and Sidi Ifni (mouth of the Oued Souss to the Oued Massa), ~338 km2 created in 1991, with a coastal/marine component and recently included in Morocco's marine protected-area network (Massa marine reserve). Extractive activities are restricted within the protected area; spearfishing is not compatible with the protected coastal/marine zone.

Apply to the délégation des pêches maritimes of your region (issued by the chef de la direction de la marine marchande et des pêches maritimes or a delegated chef de quartier maritime). Requirements: be at least 18 (16+ with written parental consent), meet physical-aptitude conditions set by joint ministerial order (medical certificate), and hold third-party (liability) insurance.
