How spearfishing is treated at Zona de Proteccion Bacalar Chico (Parque Nacional Arrecifes de Xcalak).
Protection zone at the Belize border in the southern marine polygon of Xcalak Reefs National Park. The management program (DOF 08/10/2004) permits only transiting vessels, commercial filming, research, ecological restoration, protection and monitoring - no fishing modality (commercial, traditional hand-line or sport) and no diving are permitted, so spearfishing is banned.
