Rongelap Atoll is a designated conservation area (WDPA 555583362, ~2,913 km2) managed by the Rongelap Atoll Local Government under Reimaanlok-aligned ordinances that ban commercial fishing within 12 nautical miles, restrict harvest of giant clams, turtles and birds, and require permits for access. Spearfishing/take is prohibited or permit-restricted.
