Overview
How spearfishing is treated at Lagoon of Mayotte (entire lagoon up to outer reef slope).
Underwater fishing (peche sous-marine / chasse sous-marine) is prohibited throughout the interior of the lagoon, up to the start of the outer slope of the barrier reef (Article 9). The lagoon lies within the Parc naturel marin de Mayotte.
