On the site named 'Plage de Papani', fishing by any means whatsoever is prohibited between 18:00 and 06:00, and during that period it is also forbidden for any fisher to navigate, anchor, reach the shore or land by any nautical means (Article 20 of the arrete prefectoral du 28 juin 2018). This is a turtle-nesting beach on Petite-Terre. The ban is time-based (night) rather than permanent. Delimited by WGS84 points A 12°45.9'S/045°18.12'E, B 12°46.5'S/045°18.06'E, C 12°46.62'S/045°17.82'E, D 12°46.08'S/045°17.58'E; centroid computed from these four points.
