Overview

How spearfishing is treated at Niue Moana Mahu Marine Protected Area.

Large no-take marine protected area of approximately 127,000 sq km covering ~40% of Niue's EEZ, extending from the 24nm contiguous zone to the 200nm EEZ limit. Spearfishing and all other fishing are prohibited (Regulation 6(1)).
