Overview

How spearfishing is treated at Hvaler no-take zone (Nullfiskeomrade Hvaler, Skagerrak).

Year-round total no-take zone around the Hvaler archipelago (Ytre Hvaler national-park area) in the Skagerrak, effective 1 January 2026 under FOR-2025-12-19-2889. All fishing and harvesting of fish and shellfish, including by diving/spearfishing, is prohibited. Boundary polygon (Vedlegg 3) spans roughly 58°56.5'-59°07.8'N and 010°40.0'-011°04.9'E; point is a representative center.
