License requiredvia Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation (DNPWC); local authority / Chief District Officer; Central Fisheries Promotion and Conservation Centre (CFPCC)

Apply to the DNPWC (Kathmandu or regional offices) or the relevant local authority. Foreign anglers reportedly must submit a passport copy, visa copy, passport-sized photo, fishing itinerary (location, duration, purpose), gear details, and pay the permit fee. Fishing through a licensed Nepali operator is recommended.
