What this zone is

Overview

How spearfishing is treated at Rara Lake (Rara National Park).

Rara Lake, Nepal's largest lake, lies inside Rara National Park and is a Ramsar site. As with all Nepali national parks, fishing inside the park is restricted (DNPWC permit required; general no-fishing rule for protected areas under the National Parks and Wildlife Conservation Act). Underwater spearfishing would fall under these protected-area restrictions.
