How spearfishing is treated at Waiau Glacier Coast Marine Reserve.
A no-take marine reserve on the South Island West Coast declared by the Marine Reserve (Waiau Glacier Coast) Order 2014 under the Marine Reserves Act 1971; taking or killing marine life is prohibited (only small amounts of non-living beach material may be collected), so spearfishing is banned.
