How spearfishing is treated at Napantao Fish Sanctuary.

Community-based marine protected area at Napantao, San Francisco, Southern Leyte, on the west coast of Panaon Island facing Sogod Bay — one of the oldest MPAs in Sogod Bay, established 1996 (~5 ha), long a survey site of Coral Cay Conservation. It is a no-take fish sanctuary with a wall reef of high coral cover; fishing (including spearfishing) is prohibited inside the sanctuary (Sec. 101 of the Fisheries Code).
