How spearfishing is treated at Siete Pecados Marine Park.

Cluster of seven small rocky islets off Coron town, Palawan, in the Calamianes Islands MPA network. Established in 2005 (with USAID support) to protect coral reefs, seagrass and mangroves from overfishing; it contains a strictly enforced no-take zone and is a 2024 Blue Park awardee of the Marine Conservation Institute. Fishing (including spearfishing) is prohibited in the no-take marine park (Sec. 101 of the Fisheries Code).
