How spearfishing is treated at Bocanas de Garita Palmera, Barra de Santiago, Cordoncillo, desembocadura del Rio Lempa, and Bahia de Jiquilisco (Bocanas de El Bajon y La Chepona).

Art. 28 declares these river mouths/estuary areas as aquatic reserve areas with a protection zone of 2 nautical miles from each end of the bocana and 5 nautical miles out to sea, where trawling and non-selective or non-authorized methods are prohibited.
