Overview

How spearfishing is treated at Kpémé phosphate wharf and tanker mooring.

Industrial phosphate-export terminal about 32 km east of Lomé, comprising a loading jetty and a CBM (conventional buoy mooring) for tankers, operated by the Port Autonome de Kpémé. The wharf, its approach and anchorage are an active industrial port area where fishing/diving access is restricted and unsafe.

Apply to the administration in charge of fisheries (Ministry in charge of the maritime economy, fisheries and coastal protection / Direction des pêches). The general fishing-licence application exists on the national e-government service portal, but a dedicated recreational/spearfishing permit pathway is not documented.
