Locally managed marine area / conservation area on Niutao island, managed by the Kaupule. Listed in WDPA/Protected Planet (WDPA ID 555651495). On Niutao a bye-law to ban spearing inside the reef was proposed in 1987 (per FAO/FishCode Review No. 19). Coordinate is the island centroid.
