Overview

How spearfishing is treated at Big Flat State Marine Conservation Area (California).

Lost Coast SMCA off Big Flat in the King Range, Humboldt County (11.59 sq mi). Permitted take is confined to salmon by trolling and Dungeness crab by trap, hoop net or hand. Spearfishing is not permitted, and salmon may not be taken by spear anywhere in California under 14 CCR §28.90.
