Overview

How spearfishing is treated at Carkeek Park Marine Preserve (Seattle, Washington).

Two sections of city-owned tidelands off Carkeek Park on Puget Sound, plus the water column above them down to 4.5 feet below MLLW (WAC 220-302-020). Under WAC 220-305-080(2)(f) organisms may not be removed from the intertidal areas and finfish may be taken only with hook and line gear, so spearfishing is prohibited inside the preserve.
