Overview

How spearfishing is treated at Discovery Park Marine Preserve (Seattle, Washington).

Two sections of city-owned tidelands either side of West Point at Discovery Park, plus the water column above them down to 4.5 feet below MLLW (WAC 220-302-040). WAC 220-305-080(2)(f) bars removal of organisms from the intertidal areas and permits finfish to be taken only with hook and line gear, so a speargun may not be used.
