How spearfishing is treated at Dry Tortugas National Park Research Natural Area (Florida).
A 46-square-statute-mile no-take Research Natural Area in the northwest portion of Dry Tortugas National Park (around and west of Loggerhead Key); all fishing is prohibited under 36 CFR 7.27(b)(3)(i). The remainder of the park allows hook-and-line only — taking fish by any speargun, pole spear, Hawaiian sling or powerhead is banned park-wide (36 CFR 7.27(b)(4)(ii)).
