How spearfishing is treated at Egg (Devil's Slide) Rock to Devil's Slide Special Closure (California).
Year-round no-entry closure at Egg Rock and the adjoining Devil's Slide shoreline in San Mateo County, a cormorant and brown pelican colony. 14 CCR 632(b)(64) designates the 300-foot band around each of the three rocks that make up Egg Rock plus a polygon of nearshore water defined by four listed points, prohibits transit between the rock and the mainland at any time, and in subsection (C) bars any person from entering the area without department permission. Entry - not just take - is prohibited, so a spearfisher may not be in this water.
