Overview

How spearfishing is treated at Lover's Cove State Marine Conservation Area (California).

Lover's Cove immediately east of Avalon Harbor, Santa Catalina Island (0.06 sq mi). The only take permitted is recreational hook and line from the Cabrillo Mole. Fishing or spearing from in the water is not authorised, so spearfishing is prohibited; feeding fish for marine life viewing is expressly allowed.
