How spearfishing is treated at North Farallon Islands State Marine Reserve (California).
No-take State Marine Reserve of about 18 sq mi around the North Farallon Islands, 48 km west of the Golden Gate - the one California SMR that was missing from this record. Under 14 CCR 632(b)(51)(B) the reserve carries the full 632(a)(1)(A) restriction: it is unlawful to injure, damage, take or possess any living, geological or cultural marine resource, so spearfishing is prohibited throughout. The 300-foot/1,000-foot no-entry special closure at the islets themselves (632(b)(52)) lies inside this reserve.
